Unique Beach Front Bungalows and Garden Rooms

Located right at the beach of Beloi- Atauro Island,  Atauro Dive Resort features 5 unique bungalows, garden rooms and backpacker hostel rooms.  It is easily accessible; a 5 minutes walk from the Pier where all the boats and ferry dock.

Watch beautiful sunrises everyday from the comfort of your room and enjoy cool breeze from the ocean.

Bungalow Damsel

Enjoy breathtaking views of the sunrise and the sound of the waves from the terrace of your bungalow. This bungalow is overlooking the beach and it’s 24square meters with a wooden floor.

Located at the centre of the coral triangle, Atauro Island offers a spot for incredible diving. 

From dramatic drop offs, gentle slopes to pinnacles, Atauro Island provides the best topography for diving.

The reefs are covered with healthy coral garden, variety of fish species and a combination of both small and big stuff. It is also located at the highway where the migration of whales occur.

The reef on Atauro Island is known as the most bio-diverse reef in the world!

There is Great Visibility all year around, even during rainy season

whale watching / Whale snorkeling tours between October and November.

Every year between October and November, hundreds of Blue Whales, sperm whales and other whales are migrating from the Banda sea to the Indian ocean along the North coast of Timor-Leste. Each year is different, whale migration season may start as early as September or as late as November.

During this time, encounters with the Whales are regular and swimming and snorkeling with them is possible. We organize daily trips where we get to swim with the whales

The rest of the year, encounters with Pilot whales, melon headed whales and other dolphins are possible.

  • There are No ATM on Atauro Island
  • We do not accept card payment. Payment is mainly cash or bank transfer
  • Old USD Notes made earlier than 2007 are Not accepted in Timor Leste including the 1 USD note.

Transport Between Dili and Atauro Island.

Mondays; Mission Aviation Fellowship( MAF) flight; a 7 seater plane departing at 7.30 am from Dili airport to Atauro Island and 8am departing Atauro Island to Dili. Costs 80 USD per person and buggage allowance is 10Kg per person. 
 

Tuesdays: Success ferry leaves Dili harbour at 7.30 am to Atauro Island and returns the same day to Dili at 3 pm . Costs 5USD, one way

Wednesdays: Mission Aviation Fellowship ( MAF) flight; a 7 seater plane departing at 11.30 am from Dili airport to Atauro Island and 12.pm from Atauro to Dili. Costs 80 USD per person one way.

Thursdays; Dragon boat departs Dili at 8am from Dili harbour to Atauro Island and returns to Dili on the same day at 3 Pm. Costs 10 USD.

Fridays: Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) flight departs from Dili airport at 4.30 pm to Atauro Island and from Atauro to Dili at 5pm on the same day. Costs 80USD per person.

Saturdays: Nakroma Ferry departs from Dili harbour at 7.30am to Atauro Island and returns to Dili the same day at 3pm. Costs 5USD, one way

Speed boats usually leave Dili at 7.30 am to Atauro Island and return to Dili between 9am -2pm depending on their schedule. Availability is weather dependent and it currently costs 70 USD per person, one way. Contact us to check availability

There are also local  fisher boats leaving from Dili to Atauro every morning between 8-9am. They cost 10 USD per person-one way and they leave from the beach at Bidau Santana; a few meters after Habibi bridge on your way to Christo Rei Dili
